All Def Music is a digital media company that focuses on hip-hop culture. It was founded in 2013 by Def Jam Recordings co-founder Russell Simmons and Brian Robbins, the founder of AwesomenessTV. The company produces content that is mainly centered around hip-hop music, news, and comedy. Their YouTube channel has over 1.7 million subscribers and has received over 660 million views. All Def Music has also produced shows for HBO and YouTube Red.
All Def Music controversies
All Def Music has faced some controversies in the past. In 2017, they were sued by a group of former employees for racial discrimination and harassment. The employees alleged that they were subjected to a hostile work environment and were discriminated against because of their race. All Def Music denied the allegations, but the lawsuit was settled out of court. In 2018, the company was sued by several musicians who claimed that they were not paid for their work on All Def Music's YouTube channel. The lawsuit was later dismissed.
