Blumhouse biography
Blumhouse Productions (also known as BH Productions or simply BH) is an American movie and television production company that was founded in 2000 by Jason Blum. Blumhouse is known mainly for producing horror films, such as Insidious (film), Sinister (film), The Purge (2013 film), The Gift (2015 American film), Split (2016 American film), Happy Death Day, Upgrade (film), Halloween (2018 film), The Vigil (2019 film) and The Invisible Man (2020 film) and has also produced drama films, such as Whiplash (2014 film) and BlacKkKlansman, which both earned nominations for the Academy Award for Best Picture; Get Out and BlacKkKlansman won Academy Awards for Best Original Screenplay and Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, respectively. The company also produced The Normal Heart (film) which won the 2014 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Television Movie.
