Metal Hero biography

The Metal Hero Series is a Japanese genre of tokusatsu superhero television series, created by Toei Company for television in the 1980s and early 1990s, with the exception of Kamen Rider Series and Super Sentai, which were produced by another company, Saban Entertainment. The Metal Hero Series are mainly based on outer space, military and police-based characters who are typically either androids, cyborgs, or human beings who don "metallic" armored suits. The shows are very popular in Japan, but they are also popular in other countries such as France, Brazil, the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia where they have their own spin-offs, such as Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2, and Metal Gear Solid 3.
