Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr. (born 26 July 1993), better known by his stage name Stormzy, is an English rapper, songwriter and record producer who is most famous for his song "Shut Up (Stormzy song)", which was released as a freestyle on YouTube in 2014 and peaked at number eight on the UK Singles Chart after he launched a campaign to reach lists of UK number one singles. His debut album, Gang Signs & Prayer (2017), was the first Grime (music genre) album to reach number one on the UK Albums Chart and won Brit Award for British Album of the Year at the 2018 Brit Awards. His second album, Heavy Is the Head (album), was released on 13 December 2019 and is the first Grime (music genre) album to reach number one on the UK Albums Chart.
