Tracy Chapman biography
Tracy Chapman (born March 30, 1964) is an American singer and songwriter, best known for the songs "Fast Car", "Give Me One Reason", "Baby Can I Hold You", "Talkin 'bout a Revolution", and "Crossroads (Tracy Chapman song)". She is a multi-platinum and four-time Grammy Award-winning artist, and has also been nominated for many other awards, including Grammy Award for Best New Artist, Grammy Award for Best Country Album, Grammy Award for Best Country Instrumental Performance for "Fast Car", Grammy Award for Best Country Instrumental Performance for "Give Me One Reason" and Grammy Award for Best Country Instrumental Performance for "Talkin 'bout a Revolution", and Grammy Award for Best Country Instrumental Performance for "Give Me One Reason". Chapman was signed to Elektra Records in 1987 and released her debut album, Tracy Chapman (album), which became a worldwide success.
